Our Mission
Uni students get hackathons handed to them — societies, build weekends, and the freedom to experiment with cutting-edge tech. Apprentices don't, because people assume that our day job is enough.
We disagree.

On top of this, we know that competition-based learning works: 97% of WorldSkills UK national finalists said competing improved their technical skills WorldSkills UK (opens in a new tab).
So… we made ApprenticeHack: a community for apprentices who want more. We take teams of apprentices to tech opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have the time, willingness or community for. We do the event searching and logistics so the friction to join completely disappears.
Employers gain too: hackathons can be mapped to apprenticeship standards and evidenced as off-the-job training hours, turning “a day off for a hackathon” into documented programme compliance and a unique training story.
